Mar a leagtar amach i mír (248) de na Treoirlínte seo, féadfaidh comhaontuithe brandála aonair atá inathnuaite go hintuigthe thar thréimhse 5 bliana tairbhe a bhaint as blocdhíolúine, ar choinníoll gur féidir leis an gceannaitheoir an comhaontú aonair brandála a athchaibidliú nó a fhoirceannadh trí thréimhse réasúnta fógra a thabhairt agus ar chostas réasúnta, agus ar an gcaoi sin féadfaidh an ceannaitheoir a sholáthróir a athrú go héifeachtach tar éis don tréimhse 5 bliana dul in éag.

As set out in paragraph (248), single branding agreements that are tacitly renewable beyond a period of five years can benefit from the block exemption, provided that the buyer can effectively renegotiate or terminate the single branding agreement by giving a reasonable period of notice and at a reasonable cost, thus allowing the buyer to effectively switch its supplier after the expiry of the 5-year period.
