Its mandate comprises not only regulating and standardising the language, but also coordinating implementation of the language programme, accumulating information on language usage and standardisation, advising the general public on language and linguistic issues, etc.The website of the SCLL is an indispensable tool for researchers, linguists, students, teachers, translators and language lovers in general. The SCLL is also in charge of creating and maintaining the national Term Bank of Lithuania, which is of great importance to both local and EU translators.
