    Comment Aspiration traps may be equipped with certain lures to attract particular insects, e.g. ultraviolet light in the case of the midge Culicoides imicola, the transmitter (vector) of the bluetongue virus which primarily affects sheep. The traps can be used to determine the population dynamics of the vector.
