- Comment The group was originally set up in 2009 to address the problems then affecting the automotive industry. Its remit has since been extended to defending the interests of regions with an important automotive industry and finding common solutions to the challenges they face. This change in focus has also been reflected in a change of title, from "Automotive Crisis Group" to "Interregional Group on the Future of the Automotive Industry".

- Comment Le groupe a été créé en avril 2009 en réponse à la crise du secteur automobile, sous le nom de groupe «Crise automobile». Son mandat a depuis été élargi à la défense des intérêts des régions abritant une forte industrie automobile et à la recherche de solutions communes aux défis auxquels elles sont confrontées. Le nom actuel du groupe reflète cette évolution.
