    Comment The new government reform in Cyprus has amended the Municipalities Law. Under the new system, across the island 18 new metropolitan municipalities will emerge from the fusion of the current 28 municipalities and 63 local communities. Two municipalities (Paphos and Strovolos) will stay as they are and this will give a total of 20 municipalities (down from 30).
