- Definition quality of a person assessed in order to determine their suitability to hold a managerial position Reference "COM-EN and COM-Terminology Coordination, based on:ESMA, Final report - Joint ESMA and EBA Guidelines on the assessment of the suitability of members of the management body and key function holders under Directive 2013/36/EU and Directive 2014/65/EU (11.5.2021), 2017, p. 35-6"
- Comment "The criteria to assess good repute are then developed by the relevant European Supervisory Authority. For example in the context of the assessment of the suitability of members of the management body and key function holders under Directive 2013/36/EU and Directive 2014/65/EU, the following factors should at least be considered in the assessment of good repute, honesty and integrity: convictions or ongoing prosecutions for a criminal offence, other relevant current or past measures taken by any regulatory or professional body for non-compliance with relevant provisions. The assessment of good repute, honesty and integrity should also consider the impact of the cumulative effects of minor incidents on a member’s reputation."
