Toxikologische QSAR-Studien verfolgen das Ziel, Methoden für die Vorhersage der Toxizität eines Stoffes aus seiner chemischen Struktur zu entwickeln.     Definition Relation entre les propriétés physiques et/ou chimiques d'une substance et de sa capacité à entraîner un effet particulier. L'objectif des études QSAR en toxicologie est de déterminer si la toxicité d'une substance peut être prévue à partir de sa structure chimique par analogie avec les propriétés d'autres substances toxiques de structure et de propriétés toxiques connues.
