    Comment Certains auteurs subdivisent ce super-ordre et utilisent Selachimorpha pour désigner les requins en excluant les raies (ainsi, la liste ASFIS 2020 traduit les termes Selachimorpha (Pleurotremata) par Requins divers).D'autres sources (ITIS) estiment que Selachimorpha et Pleurotremata sont des synonymes de Euselachii, alors considéré comme le seul terme scientifique valide.
