    Comment In 1967 this Council, together with the Council of the European Economic Community and the Council of the European Atomic Energy Community, was replaced by the Council of the European Communities. The name ‘Special Council of Ministers’ remained however in Article 7 of the ESCS Treaty, and was officially suppressed by the Amsterdam Treaty in 1997.
