The matter is further complicated by the fact that ITIS ( http://www.itis.gov/servlet/SingleRpt/SingleRpt?search_topic=TSN&search_value=160994 ) considers that the term Manta alfredi (IATE:3562755 ) is an invalid synonym of Manta birostris (while WORMS considers it is a valid scientific name for another species)."
