    Comment On distingue plusieurs groupes: 1-Les Manouches, les Sinti, qui sont installés en France depuis plusieurs siècles (Django Reinhart, Torino Zigler, les Bouglione, les Zavata). 2- Les Gitans qu'ils soient andalous ou catalans ont connu une influence espagnole importante. Ils résident plus au sud. 3- Les Roms [ IATE:3571563 ] ou Roma qu'ils soient Kalderas, Lovara, Curara, ont vécu en Europe Centrale. En France on rencontre surtout des Rom Kalderas. La langue des Roms est le romani.
