    Comment Auf offizielle Aufforderung der Türkei an den Rat vom Juni 2022 hin wurde entschieden, in Englisch die Benennungen Türkiye/Republic of Türkiye (anstelle von Turkey/Republic of Turkey) zu verwenden. Diese Entscheidung wirkt sich nicht auf die Praxis in Deutsch aus, wo weiterhin die Benennungen Türkei/Republik Türkei verwendet werden, mit Ausnahme von förmlicher Kommunikation mit der Türkei bzw. von Abkommen, die direkt mit der Türkei geschlossen werden, wo die Vollform Republik Türkiye zu verwenden ist.
