    Comment On utilise l'obfuscation pour diverses raisons, notamment: - pour protéger sa propriété intellectuelle contre la rétro-ingénierie - pour rendre un logiciel ou un site web moins susceptibles d'être piratés - pour dissimuler la fonction réelle du code: pour un site marchand, il peut s'agir de réunir des informations très détaillées sur les internautes; pour un pirate, de faire en sorte que son logiciel malveillant échappe à la détection par un antivirus. Le code résultant de ce processus est dit «code impénétrable».
