Typische Beispiele sind die festen Gashydrate, z.B.6X.46H2O (X = Ar, Kr, Xe, Cl2,CH4,u.a.),in denen X in Hohlräume eingeschlossen wird, die durch über Wasserstoffbrückenbindungen erfolgende Verknüpfung von (H2O)20-Dodekaedern gebildet werden.
