    Comment Black carbon as such is difficult to measure. The measuring instruments measure “black carbon” through absorption. Using a conversion constant referring to a coefficient “equivalent black carbon” is derived from this data.Therefore, the word “equivalent” is used as it’s not a measured value but a coefficient.
