    Comment Ne pas confondre chaîne trophique et réseau trophique. Les chaînes trophiques sont des relations isolées du réseau trophique. Le réseau trophique représente donc l'ensemble des chaînes trophiques présentes dans un écosystème donné.Exemples de chaînes trophiques du réseau trophique marin: Phytoplancton (producteur primaire) -> zooplancton (consommateur primaire) -> sardine (consommateur secondaire) -> thon (superprédateur).Diatomées (producteur primaire) -> krill (consommateur primaire) -> baleine bleue (consommateur secondaire) -> orque (superprédateur).
