Mit Notfallverhütungspillen kann nicht eine bereits eingetretene Schwangerschaft abgebrochen oder ein sich entwickelnder Embryo geschädigt werden.

    Comment It is intended for emergency use following unprotected intercourse, contraceptive failure or misuse (such as forgotten pills or torn condoms), rape or coerced sex. Emergency contraception is effective only in the first few days following intercourse, before the ovum is released from the ovary and before the sperm fertilises the ovum. Emergency contraceptive pills cannot interrupt an established pregnancy or harm a developing embryo.

    Comment Elle est conçue pour être utilisée en situation d’urgence, après un rapport non protégé, un échec ou un usage défectueux d’une méthode contraceptive (comme l’oubli de la pilule ou la déchirure du préservatif), le viol ou des rapports non protégés sous la contrainte. La contraception d'urgence n’est efficace que dans les tout premiers jours après le rapport, avant l’ovulation et avant la fertilisation de l’ovule par le sperme. Les pilules de contraception d'urgence ne peuvent interrompre une grossesse déjà installée, ni nuire à un embryon en train de se développer.
