- Comment Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/98 defines a 'recreational fishery' as a ´non-commercial fishery whose participants do not adhere to a national sport organisation or are not issued with a national sport licence'.Here 'fisheries' are not to be understood as the plural of 'fishery' in the sense of 902412 i.e. a 'fishing activity on a stock or a group of stocks harvested by the same fishing gear or the same type of fishing gear', nor with the other FAO definition, i.e. a unit determined by an authority or other entity that is engaged in raising and/or harvesting fish. Here, it is the plural of fishery as in entry 796595 (any activity that involves the catching, taking, or harvesting of marine species) and as such, is used as a synonym for fishing.

- Comment Dans la version consolidée du règlement délégué (UE) 2015/98 de la Commission ( CELEX:02015R0098-20190621 ), la définition est légèrement différente: "par «pêche de loisir», on entend la pêche non commerciale dont les participants ne font pas partie d'une organisation sportive nationale ou ne détiennent pas une licence sportive nationale", ce qui exclut donc la pêche sportive également.Il convient également de noter que le terme anglais game fishing est parfois traduit par pêche sportive (voir IATE:1643722 ), ce qui est toutefois un concept plus restreint que la pêche récréative, puisqu'il faut alors faire partie d'un club ou d'une association. Enfin, le terme anglais "fisheries" ne s'entend pas ici comme une pêcherie (activité de pêche sur un stock ou un groupe de stocks pêché par les mêmes engins de pêche ou le même type d'engins de pêche), mais bien comme un synonyme de pêche (IATE:796595 ; activité permettant de capturer des espèces aquatiques).
