    Comment According to the International Civil Aviation Organisation's definitions, 'airline' is a narrower concept than 'air carrier' [ IATE:786361 ], which covers the provision of all kinds of air transportation services (both scheduled and non-scheduled). In practice, the terms are often used interchangeably, but in EU documents the distinction drawn by the ICAO should be observed.

Il est toutefois recommandé dans les textes relatifs à la règlementation du secteur aérien de se conformer à la distinction entre "transporteur aérien" (air carrier) et "compagnie aérienne" (airline).
