    Comment Ce type de téléphone possédait normalement une puissance de transmission de 3 watts, utilisait le plus souvent l'énergie de la batterie du véhicule et transmettait ses signaux par une antenne extérieure. Un système de gestion de service equipé d'une base de données permettait d'indiquer la position du vehicule dès que l'utilisateur avait mis son téléphone sous tension.
