Definition bonding of fabrics using a thermoplastic foam sheet, exposed to a flame located before the laminating rolls Reference "European Commission. JRC. European IPPC Bureau. 'Best Available Techniques (BAT) Reference Document for the Textiles Industry' (13.7.2022). Publications Office of the European Union, Luxembourg, 2022"
Comment Flame lamination involves exposing a piece of material to an open flame, which creates a thin layer of molten polymer on the surface. Another substrate is then brought into contact with this layer. Finally, as it cools, the two materials are compressed, enabling the surfaces to bond together.
