- Comment "Regulation (EU) 2019/2019 entered into force on 25 December 2019, but does not apply until 1 March 2021. This concept is defined in Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1060/2010 as a frozen-food storage compartment in which the temperature is not warmer than - 18 °C. Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1060/2010 will be repealed (by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2016) with effect from 1 March 2021, and the old definition will cease to apply. Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1060/2010 deals with 'household refrigerating appliances', while Regulation (EU) 2019/2019 deals with 'refrigerating appliances'. However, the scope of the two regulations is in fact very similar, since Regulation (EU) 2019/2019 does not apply to professional refrigerated storage cabinets and blast cabinets, with the exception of professional chest freezers; refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function; mobile refrigerating appliances; or appliances where the primary function is not the storage of foodstuffs through refrigeration."
