- Comment Regarding Sections 1 and 25 of 1975 Act, cf Scots law 'nasciturus pro iam nato habetur quotiens de eius commoda agitur'. The OED definition of a child = (1) an infant ie a person not of full age and/or (2) a son or daughter at any age of a parent: an offspring of human parents. English uses the same term to describe both concepts.
