Comment "EIB-FEMIP builds on the long-standing financial cooperation with the southern and eastern Mediterranean countries. It is successor to earlier investment mechanisms under the ""Barcelona process"" arising from the Barcelona Declaration adopted at the 1995 Euro-Mediterranean Conference. FEMIP has two priorities: supporting the private sector and creating an investment-friendly environment. It also represents a forum for meetings and dialogue between the Euro-Mediterranean partners."
