- Comment Als Reservoir gelten Dromedare (einhöckrige Kamele). Eine Übertragung von Mensch zu Mensch ist möglich. Die Inkubationszeit beträgt in der Regel ein bis zwei Wochen. Bei gesunden Menschen verläuft die Erkrankung in der Regel asymptomatisch oder mit milden grippeähnlichen Symptomen. Bei schweren Verläufen kann sich eine Pneumonie entwickeln, die in ein akutes Atemnotsyndrom übergehen kann.
