    Comment "Die Gruppe setzt sich gegenwärtig aus 27 Mitgliedern zusammen, die folgende Regionen vertreten: die deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft Belgiens, Wallonien, Luxemburg, Saarland, Rheinland-Pfalz sowie die französischsprachige Gemeinschaft Belgiens. Diese haben gemeinsame Grenzen und bilden seit Anfang der 1970er Jahre eine ""Großregion"" mit institutionalisierter grenzübergreifender Zusammenarbeit."

    Comment It was set up in order to coordinate the EU policy concerns and standpoints of the CoR members delegated by the region's authorities or other bodies and to jointly champion them within the relevant CoR bodies. The group aims to develop its own EU policy initiatives on issues specific to the region and to push for their implementation.
