Definition technology for producing hydrogen from water at high temperatures and where the electrolyte is a solid oxide fuel cell that runs in regenerative mode Reference "COM-Terminology Coordination, based on:Wikipedia > High-temperature electrolysis (10.12.2020)"
Comment A regenerative fuel cell (RFC) is an electrochemical device that can store electrical energy using hydrogen as an energy medium. While in fuel cell mode, electrical power can be extracted from an RFC system by reacting stored hydrogen and oxygen (air). On the other hand, in electrolysis mode, the storage tank can be refilled with hydrogen (and oxygen) by operating the RFC as a water/steam electrolyzer using electric power and water.
