    Comment Der Gebietsstand wurde 1995 im Interimsabkommen über das Westjordanland und den Gazastreifen zwischen Israel und der Palästinensischen Befreiungsorganisation (PLO) vereinbart, wobei die Gebiete ohne Autonomie („C-Gebiete“) innerhalb von fünf Jahren ebenfalls schrittweise in Autonomiegebiete umgewandelt werden sollten. Dazu kam es jedoch bisher nicht. Die Palästinensische Autonomiebehörde beansprucht das gesamte Westjordanland und Ostjerusalem.
