Furthermore, COI products must not be confused with 'country guidance,' 'policy', 'protection considerations', 'eligibility guidelines', or other policy documents such as EUAA Country Guidance Notes. Guidance/policy products use, interpret, and rely on COI as the evidence base for legal assessments, but they are not in themselves COI.

En outre, les produits COI ne doivent pas être confondus avec les «orientations par pays», «politique», «considérations relatives à la protection», «lignes directrices d’éligibilité» ou d’autres documents stratégiques tels que les notes d’orientation par pays de l’EUAA. Les produits d’orientation/politiques utilisent, interprètent et s’appuient sur les informations sur les pays d’origine comme base factuelle pour les évaluations juridiques, mais ils ne sont pas en eux-mêmes des COI.
