    Comment They are comprised of a variety of loans, each of which represents different property sizes and locations. These loans are pooled and are broken into tranches of risk that are sold to investors. In general, they carry less prepayment risk than loans backed by residential mortgages. CMBSs are not standardised instruments.

Les TACHC présentent une caractéristique clé: chaque catégorie de participation peut être assortie d’un rang différent quant au remboursement des intérêts et du capital. Les investisseurs prioritaires peuvent ainsi accepter un rendement inférieur, compte tenu du risque moindre qu’ils assument par rapport aux investisseurs de second rang.
