- Comment Directive 2005/36/EC requires EU Member States to recognise such qualifications:- if they have been issued by an authority in another Member State designated pursuant to legislative, regulatory or administrative provisions of that Member State, and the professional training has been obtained mainly in the European Union, or- if they have been issued by a non-member country and the holder has three years’ professional experience in the profession concerned on the territory of a Member State which has itself already recognised those qualifications.
