- Comment NB: In the December 2010 version of the proposal for a regulation on succession, where the French reads "erreur matérielle" the English has been changed from "material error" [see IATE:784793 ] to read "clerical error". However, in Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003 CELEX:32003R2201 and Regulation (EC) No 805/2004 CELEX:32004R0805 the French "erreur matérielle" the English reads "material error". Certificates issued under those Regulations can be rectified where there is a "material" error, i.e. where they do not correctly reflect the judgment or due to a material error, there is a discrepancy between the judgment and the certificate.
