- Comment Der Begriff "digitale Sequenzinformationen" (DSI) wurde durch die politischen Diskussionen in der Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) IATE:858171 geprägt und wird nicht einheitlich verwendet. Vereinfacht dargestellt bezeichnet DSI alle Informationen, die auf molekularbiologischen und biochemischen Methoden basieren. U.a. zur Klärung der Terminologie hat die CBD eine "Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on Digital Sequence Information on Genetic Resources" einberufen, die im Februar 2018 einen Bericht vorgelegt und darin festgestellt hat, "that the term 'digital sequence information' (DSI) is not the appropriate term to refer to [the various types of information on genetic resources that may be relevant to the three objectives of the Convention and the objective of the Nagoya Protocol]. However, the group continued to use 'DSI' as a place holder, without prejudice to future consideration of alternative terms."
