    Comment Un gazoduc oriental reliant l’Azerbaïdjan au Turkménistan, le gazoduc transcaspien, est actuellement à l’étude. Ce gazoduc de 300 km de long devrait avoir une capacité de 30 milliards de mètres cubes par an et être relié au gazoduc Bakou-Tbilissi-Erzurum. L’Europe est intéressée par ce projet de 5 milliards de dollars (inclus dans la liste des projets d’intérêt commun, PIC, de l’UE) afin de diversifier ses ressources en gaz et de remplacer le gaz russe.
