    Comment Concrètement, la gestion des droits numériques propose un accès conditionnel aux supports numériques (disques, logiciels, Blu-ray, etc.). Elle vise à protéger juridiquement une œuvre artistique numérique (film, album audio, etc.), soumise à des droits d'auteurs, et empêche par exemple l'enregistrement d'un film diffusé par une chaîne TV. Cette technique est aussi utilisée pour autoriser le téléchargement d'un fichier sur le web, sans prendre le risque que ce fichier soit ensuite distribué librement sur la toile.
