    Comment The original Petersberg tasks were for the Western European Union (subsequently incorporated into the EU) and were set out in the Petersberg Declaration adopted at the Ministerial Council of the WEU in June 1992.Following an extension of the tasks, as reflected in the 2009 Treaty of Lisbon, they currently include:- joint disarmament operations - humanitarian and rescue tasks - military advice and assistance tasks - conflict prevention and peace-keeping tasks - tasks of combat forces in crisis management, including peace-making and post-conflict stabilisation.

    Comment Définies par l'Union de l'Europe occidentale en 1992, ces missions ont été instaurées suite à la déclaration de Petersberg. Cette déclaration a permis de mettre des unités militaires à la disposition de l'UEO, de l'OTAN et de l'UE. Ces missions couvrent différents domaines: - des missions humanitaires ou d'évacuation de ressortissants- la prévention des conflits et le maintien de la paix- des missions de forces de combat pour la gestion des crises- des actions conjointes en matière de désarmement- le conseil et l'assistance militaires- des opérations de stabilisation après la fin des conflits.
