    Comment - La clavelée, ou variole ovine, et la variole caprine, sont inscrites sur la liste A de l’OIE. Le virus de la clavelée ne touche que les ovins, tandis que, dans les conditions naturelles, celui de la VC n’affecte que les chèvres. - Les virus de la clavelée et de la variole caprine appartiennent à la famille des Poxviridae, genre Capripoxvirus, dont le virus de la clavelée est l’espèce-type.
