    Comment Silizium wird per Induktionsheizung in einem Tiegel geschmolzen und danach über einen längeren Zeitraum in einer Wanne abgekühlt. Der Block wird nach der Abkühlung in mehrere kleinere Blöcke zur Weiterverarbeitung aufgeteilt. Ein weiteres Verfahren zur Herstellung von polykristallinem Silizium ist das sogenannte Bridgman-Verfahren.
