Unter diesem „dreckigen Dutzend“ („dirty dozen“) befindet sich auch Chlordan. Seit dem 17. Mai 2004 hat das Übereinkommen nach der Ratifizierung durch den 50. Beitrittsstaat nun globale Rechtsgültigkeit erlangt.
