—Féadfar an tAcht Meáchan agus Tomhas, 1928 , do ghairm den Acht so agus léireofar é mar éinní amháin leis na Weights and Measures Acts, 1878 to 1904, agus féadfar na hAchtanna Meáchan agus Tomhas, 1878 go 1928, do ghairm de sna hAchtanna san agus den Acht so le chéile.
—This Act may be cited as the Weights and Measures Act, 1928 , and shall be construed as one with the Weights and Measures Acts, 1878 to 1904, and those Acts and this Act may be cited together as the Weights and Measures Acts, 1878 to 1928.

—(1) Déanfar agus deintear leis seo an míniú tugtar ar “measuring instrument” in alt 35 den Weights and Measures Act, 1889, mar a leathnuítear san le halt 10 den Acht Meáchan agus Tomhas, 1928 ( Uimh. 3 de 1928 ), do leathnú chun go bhfolóidh taxi-mhéadar, agus beidh éifeacht ag an alt san 35 dá réir sin.
—(1) The definition of "measuring instrument" contained in section 35 of the Weights and Measures Act, 1889, as extended by section 10 of the Weights and Measures Act, 1928 (No. 3 of 1928), shall be and is hereby extended so as to include a taximeter, and the said section 35 shall have effect accordingly.
