These Regulations provide for the use of new roadway markings and regulatory traffic signs to indicate that part of a roadway is a bus lane in which specified vehicles only are permitted.

ciallaíonn "acomhal bóthair" an chuid de ród atá laistigh d'fhortheilgean teorainneacha ród mar a dtrasnaíonn na róid a chéile;
"road junction" means the section of roadway contained within the projection of roadway boundaries at the intersection of the roadways;

"road inset" means that part of a roadway specially inset in a footway or road verge;

(2) Where a person deposits goods on a roadway or footway while lawfully loading or unloading a vehicle, he shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent the goods from causing obstruction or avoidable inconvenience to traffic or pedestrians using the roadway or footway, and shall not allow the goods to remain on the roadway or footway for longer than is necessary for the purpose of the loading or unloading.

(3) Beidh ag an gcuideachtain bhóthair iarainn agus ag á ngníomhairí, agus beidh infheidhmithe acu, na saoráidí céanna atá acu no is infheidhmithe acu fé láthair, no a gcó-mhaith sin de shaoráidí, maidir le trácht a ghabhann suas no anuas idir Céibh Sheoirse agus maoin na cuideachtan bóthar iarainn, saoráidí ar a n-áirítear na línte ráileacha ar na céibheanna d'úsáid gan íoc as ach amháin mar a foráltar ina dhiaidh seo anso agus fós an ceart, dóibh féin, dá ngníomhairí agus dá dtionóntuithe, chun saorúsáide an bhóthair idir Sráid na Céibhe agus an chéibh agus an ceart chun línte ráileacha do chur síos trasna an bhóthair sin mar cheangal idir maoin na cuideachtan bóthair iarainn ar gach taobh den bhóthar san agus chun an céanna d'úsáid gan íoc as:
(3) The railway company and their agents shall have and may exercise the same or equal facilities as are at present enjoyed or exercisable by them in respect of traffic passing either way between George's Quay and the property of the railway company including the use of the lines of rails on the quays free of charge except as hereinafter provided and also the right to themselves their agents and tenants to the free use of the roadway between Quay Street and the quay and the right to lay lines of rails across such roadway to connect the property of the railway company on each side of such roadway and to use same free of charge:

( e ) prohibiting specified traffic from using specified parts of the roadway;
tá le “cosán” agus “ród” na bríonna céanna, faoi seach, atá leo in Acht 1961;
"footway" and "roadway" have the same meanings, respectively, as in the Act of 1961;

"bus lane" means a part of a roadway marked with the roadway markings referred to in article 4 and provided with the regulatory traffic sign referred to in article 5 of these Regulations in which classes of vehicles other than omnibuses, classes of vehicles set out in bye-laws relating to the bus lane and, where sign A or B referred to in the Second Schedule to these Regulations is provided in conjunction with a bus lane, pedal bicycles, are prohibited or are prohibited between the times indicated on a plate provided in accordance with article 5 (2) of these Regulations.

Where a roadway marking authorised by article 12 (1) (i) (inserted by the Road Traffic (Signs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1969 ( S.I. No. 217 of 1969 )) of the Regulations of 1962 is not accompanied by an information plate, the prohibition or restriction on the parking of vehicles imposed by means of a roadway marking shall apply during business hours.

(3) This rule shall not apply to the placing of bins or other receptacles containing refuse on a roadway or footway on a day of normal refuse collection, if all reasonable precautions are taken to prevent obstruction or avoidable inconvenience to traffic or pedestrians using the roadway or footway.

—The railway in Chapelizod from the present crossing near the Chapelizod Gate of the Phoenix Park shall be constructed on the southern side of the roadway on a raised platform as far as the bend opposite the Mullingar Arms licensed premises and thence shall be constructed level with the roadway as far as the city boundary and the alignment of same shall be to the satisfaction of the Borough Surveyor.

(5) As on and from the appointed day the Board of Trustees shall cease to be liable for the maintenance of the roadway from Woodquay to the public road, mentioned in Schedule B to the Navigation Award of 1859, and the said roadway shall be regarded, for the purposes of the said Act and any such order, as being an urban road.

( a ) The Board and the Fishguard Company shall grant and convey to the Corporation in fee simple free from incumbrances ALL THAT AND THOSE that portion of the roadway known as Salvation Lane Waterford 35 feet in width or thereabouts connecting the south-eastern portion of the North Wharf with that portion of the public road leading from Waterford to New Ross excluding the bridge carrying the said roadway over the railway line (jointly owned by the Board and the Fishguard Company) and coloured blue on the map annexed hereto.

Rule 7 prohibits parking in the area of road junctions and on stretches of roadway on which an authorised continuous white line or more than one such line is provided.

"perimeter road" means a road on and along the roadway of which there runs the boundary of a county or other borough, an urban district or a town;
