    Comment Selbst im Landeanflug beträgt der Mindestabstand, je nach Flughafen und zugelassenem Verfahren, noch zwischen zweieinhalb und drei nautischen Meilen (4,6 bis 5,6 Kilometer). Fliegt ein sehr kleines hinter einem sehr großen Flugzeug, werden diese Abstände noch einmal deutlich vergrößert. Durch die sogenannte Wirbelschleppenstaffelung verhindern die Lotsen, dass die Luftverwirbelungen, welche das voranfliegende Flugzeug auslöst, die nachfolgende Maschine gefährden können.
