    Comment At its meeting of 15 June 1994 the European Commission decided to introduce an initiative on adaptation of the workforce to industrial change (Adapt) in the context of Article 11 of Council Regulation (EEC) No 4253/88 as modified by Regulation (EEC) No 2082/93. At its meeting on 8 May 1996 the Commission decided to introduce a further priority within this initiative entitled Adapt-bis (building the information society) covering the planning period 1996 to 1999.
