    Definition Als Flowback ist die Flüssigkeit definiert, die nach einem Frac-Vorgang an die Oberfläche gelangt. Lagerstättenspezifisch ergibt sich dabei ein Flowback aus einem Gemisch aus Frac-Fluid, Lagerstättenwasser, übertägig kondensiertem Wasserdampf und Methangas. Neben den eingesetzten Additiven des Frac-Fluids kann dieses Gemisch somit zusätzlich mögliche Reaktionsprodukte, die sich aus den Additiven während des Frac-Prozesses bilden, und mobilisierte Lösungsprodukte aus der Lagerstätte enthalten.     Comment "Im Gegensatz zur einfachen Destillation werden beim Arbeiten mit siedenden Flüssigkeiten unter Rückfluß die aus dem Kolben aufsteigenden Dämpfe in einem senkrecht stehenden Rückflußkühler (...) vollständig kondensiert und als Rücklauf (...) in den Kolben zurückgeführt (Refluxieren). Rücklaufoperationen sind in der organischen Chemie sehr häufig, z. B. bei Extraktionen, bei Lösungsvorgängen oder Reaktionen in Lösemitteln bei erhöhter Temperatur usw.
