Coal is added to the bed and the continuous mixing encourages complete combustion and a lower temperature than that of pulverised fuel (PF) combustion. - Nóta La combustion sur lit fluidisé est apparue dans les années 50 et a d'abord concerné le grillage de minerais, les boues urbaines puis le charbon. Les applications pour la combustion des ordures ménagères et des déchets industriels ne datent que d'une vingtaine d'années.
