    Nóta "'Jus in bello' is a group of principles intended as guidelines for the just prosecution of war, which includes two principles of discrimination and proportionality. Discrimination defines legitimate targets and proportionality defines how much force could be used.Some sources (e.g. ICRC) treat law of armed conflicts, jus in bello and international humanitarian law as synonyms.
