- Nóta Dieser Schutz stellt nicht nur den gleichberechtigten Zugang einer Frau zu Beschäftigung sicher und verhindert Diskriminierung im Berufsleben, er ist auch eine Voraussetzung dafür, dass echte Chancengleichheit und Gleichbehandlung von Frauen und Männern bei der Arbeit erreicht wird und dass Arbeitnehmer unter sicheren Bedingungen Familien bilden können. Es sei darauf hingewiesen, dass sich diese Form von Schutz weder immer auch auf nicht biologische Eltern erstreckt noch neueren Entwicklungen in der Medizin und Gesellschaft Rechnung trägt, durch die sich die Art und Weise, wie Menschen Eltern werden können, diversifiziert hat.

- Nóta Such protection not only ensures a woman’s equal access to employment and prevents job discrimination; it is also a precondition for achieving genuine equality of opportunity and treatment of women and men at work, and enabling workers to raise families in conditions of security. Note that this form of protection does not always encompass non-biological parents, nor does it always take into account recent developments in medicine and society that have diversified the ways of becoming a parent.

- Nóta Une telle protection garantit non seulement aux femmes l’égalité d’accès à l'emploi et empêchant la discrimination professionnelle, mais elle est aussi indispensable si l'on veut parvenir à une véritable égalité de chances et de traitement pour les hommes et les femmes au travail, et permettre aux travailleurs d'élever leur famille dans des conditions de sécurité économique. Il convient de noter que ce type de protection ne concerne pas systématiquement les parents non biologiques, pas plus qu'il ne prend nécessairement en compte les récentes évolutions de la médecine et de la société, qui ont eu pour effet de diversifier les voies vers la parentalité.
