—This Act may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Pensions) Act, 1947.

( c ) has been increased under the Emergency Powers (No. 354) Order, 1945 (S. R. & O. No. 29 of 1945), the Superannuation Act, 1947 (No. 29 of 1947), or the Garda Síochána (Pensions) Act, 1947 (No. 41 of 1947), by reference to a cost of living index figure not exceeding 260. [GA]

(4) I gcás ina raibh méadú ar phinsean sceidealta nó ar phinsean a shonraítear sa Sceideal a ghabhann le hAcht 1956 a deonaíodh de bhun forálacha an Pensions (Increase) Act, 1920, an Acht Aoisliúntas, 1947 , Acht an Gharda Shíochána (Pinsin), 1947 , alt 79 den Acht Rialtais Áitiúil (Aoisliúntas), 1948 , Acht 1950, nó Acht 1956 i gcúrsa a íoctha an lú lá de Lúnasa, 1959, is é méid an phinsin sin a fhéadfar a mhéadú faoin Acht seo an méid pinsin dob iníoctha amhail ar an lú lá de Lúnasa, 1959.
(4) Where an increase in a scheduled pension or pension specified in the Schedule to the Act of 1956 granted pursuant to the provisions of the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1920, the Superannuation Act, 1947 , the Garda Síochána (Pensions) Act, 1947, section 79 of the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1948 , the Act of 1950 or the Act of 1956 was in course of payment on the 1st day of August, 1959, the amount of such pension which may be increased under this Act shall be the amount of pension payable as on the 1st day of August, 1959.
