    (3) The Minister may make a payment of £11,000,000 in respect of the HIPC Debt Initiative Trust Fund and may, subject to subsection (6), make such further payments as the Government decides in respect of the HIPC Debt Initiative Trust Fund.

    —(1) Féadfaidh an tAire a údarú don Bhanc Ceannais íocaíocht £4,000,000 a dhéanamh thar ceann an Rialtais i leith an Iontaobhais HIPC agus déanfar aon íocaíocht den sórt sin a mhaoiniú trí choibhéis £4,000,000 i gcearta tarraingthe speisialta atá ar seilbh ag an Stát a aistriú ón gCuntas SCA-2 chuig an Iontaobhas HIPC.

    —(1) The Minister may authorise the Central Bank to make a payment on behalf of the Government of £4,000,000 in respect of the HIPC Trust and any such payment shall be funded by the transfer of the equivalent of £4,000,000 in special drawing rights held by the State from the SCA-2 Account to the HIPC Trust.

    —Más rud é go mbeartóidh an tAire íocaíocht faoi alt 4 nó 6 den Acht seo a dhéanamh nó a údarú, seachas an íocaíocht £7,000,000 i leith an Iontaobhais ESAF, an íocaíocht £11,000,000 i leith Chiste Iontaobhais an Fhiach-Thionscnaimh HIPC agus an íocaíocht £4,000,000 i leith an Iontaobhais HIPC, déanfar an togra a leagan faoi bhráid Dháil Éireann a luaithe is féidir agus, má dhéanann Dáil Éireann, laistigh den 21 lá a shuífidh Dáil Éireann tar éis togra den sórt sin a leagan faoina bráid, rún a rith ag neamhniú an togra sin, beidh an togra ar neamhní dá réir sin agus ní dhéanfaidh nó ní údaróidh an tAire an íocaíocht sin.

    —Where the Minister proposes to make or authorise the making of a payment under section 4 or 6 of this Act, other than the payment of £7,000,000 in respect of the ESAF Trust, £11,000,000 in respect of the HIPC Debt Initiative Trust Fund and £4,000,000 in respect of the HIPC Trust, the proposal shall be laid before Dáil Éireann as soon as may be and, if a resolution annulling such a proposal is passed by Dáil Éireann within the next 21 days on which Dáil Éireann has sat after the proposal is laid before it, the proposal shall be annulled accordingly and the Minister shall not make or authorise the making of such a payment.

    (6) Ní mó ná £20,000,000 méid comhiomlán na suimeanna a fhéadfaidh an tAire a íoc i leith Chiste Iontaobhais an Fhiach-Thionscnaimh HIPC chun críocha fho-alt (3).

    (6) The aggregate amount of sums that the Minister may pay in respect of the HIPC Debt Initiative Trust Fund for the purposes of subsection (3) shall not exceed £20,000,000.

    “HIPC Trust” means the Trust for Special ESAF Operations for Heavily Indebted Poor Countries and Interim ESAF Subsidy Operations established pursuant to Decision No. 11436 — (97/10) ESAF of the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund taken on 4 February, 1997, as amended;

    (2) Féadfaidh an tAire cibé íocaíocht nó íocaíochtaí a dhéanamh a chinnfidh an Rialtas i leith an Iontaobhais HIPC, agus ní mó ná £10,000,000 méid comhiomlán na híocaíochta nó na n-íocaíochtaí sin.

    (2) The Minister may make such payment or payments as the Government decides in respect of the HIPC Trust, the aggregate amount of which payment or payments shall not exceed £10,000,000.
