—Section 3 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1885, is hereby amended by the insertion therein before the word "drug" of the words "alcoholic or other intoxicant or any", and the said section shall be construed and have effect accordingly.

Chomh maith leis sin, ba cheart an téarma ‘deochanna alcólacha’ a úsáid in ionad ‘alcoholic drinks’ agus ba cheart an téarma ‘neart alcóil de réir toirte’, mar a shainmhínítear in Airteagal 4(23) de Rialachán (AE) 2019/787, a úsáid in ionad an téarma ‘alcól’.
Also, the term ‘alcoholic beverages’ should be used instead of the term ‘alcoholic drinks’ and the term ‘alcoholic strength by volume’, as defined in Article 4(23) of Regulation (EU) 2019/787, should be used instead of the term ‘alcohol’.
